Value-for-Value

A zap is a small, instant Lightning payment from one bitcoiner to another. On Nodifye, zaps are how you say "this note was worth paying for" — publicly visible reputation, denominated in sats, not in vanity likes.

1. You pick an amount and press Zap.
2. Nodifye asks the recipient's wallet (via their Lightning Address) for a BOLT11 invoice for that amount.
3. We show you the invoice as a QR code plus a copy button. You pay it from any Lightning wallet you already use.
4. Once your wallet confirms payment, tap Mark as paid so Nodifye can update the reputation counter on the note.

Nodifye never holds bitcoin. Payments move directly from your wallet to the recipient's. We only broker the invoice fetch and record a receipt for social proof.

Recipients connect a Lightning Address (receive only) or a Nostr Wallet Connect pairing (send + receive). NWC secrets are encrypted in your browser before being stored.

• Zaps are final. Lightning payments cannot be reversed or refunded by Nodifye.
• You are responsible for the wallet you connect and the amounts you send.
• Zap totals are public reputation signals on your profile and on the notes you zap.

Traditional networks monetise your attention. Nodifye lets you monetise your work — one sat at a time, with no intermediary between you and the person paying you.
